CIRB Appreciates Committee Passage of Farm Bill, Urges Swift Final Passage
WASHINGTON, DC (September 16, 2026) — The Crop Insurance and Reinsurance Bureau (CIRB) shared the following statement in response to the Senate Agriculture Committee’s passage of the Agricultural Act of 2026:
“The Crop Insurance and Reinsurance Bureau (CIRB) appreciates the Senate Agriculture Committee taking the next step to advance the farm bill which includes provisions that make key policy improvements and address regulatory challenges within the Federal Crop Insurance Program. With implementation of these provisions, U.S. farmers will be better served by the public-private partnership that makes crop insurance the most efficient and effective component of the farm safety net.”
CIRB urges swift passage of a final bill and remains committed to working with members of Congress on both sides of the aisle and in both chambers to protect and improve crop insurance.
