Membership Benefits

CIRB has three membership categories, and the residing Executive Committee of the board of directors must approve each new member.

Full Membership

Full membership is restricted to direct writers of crop insurance policies, reinsurance companies, and reinsurance brokerage groups. Dues are established annually and based upon market share for approved insurance providers and a flat rate for reinsurance operations.

  • Affords a seat on the Board of Directors, and the ability to be elected for the Executive Committee.
  • Effective representation with executive and legislative branches of the federal government, trade organizations, and targeted media.
  • Interaction with a growing coalition of more than 100 diverse groups to engage and support crop insurance through CIRB’s leadership of the Crop Insurance Coalition.
  • Weekly e-newsletter on industry news and the latest updates from Washington, D.C.
  • Frequent social media toolkits that share positive messaging for the industry to customize.
  • Quarterly Federal Affairs report providing a status update on recent actions on Capitol Hill and in the Administration.
  • Access to support CIRB’s Bipartisan Political Action Committee (PAC) that builds champions for crop insurance in the House and Senate.
  • Participate in D.C. fly-ins and in the CIRB Annual Meeting featuring high-level presentations and networking opportunities with industry and Congressional leaders.
  • Opportunity to have employees participate in the CIRB Emerging Leaders Program, which focuses on advocacy, communications, and leadership development training.

Associate Membership

Associate membership is available for reinsurance companies, reinsurance brokerage, and others with an interest in crop insurance.

  • Effective representation with executive and legislative branches of the federal government, trade organizations, and targeted media.
  • Interaction with a growing coalition of more than 100 agriculture groups to engage and support crop insurance through CIRB’s leadership of the Crop Insurance Coalition.
  • Weekly e-newsletter on industry news and the latest updates from Washington, D.C. Weekly social media toolkits that share positive messaging for the industry to customize.
  • Quarterly Federal Affairs report providing a status update on recent actions on Capitol Hill.

Individual Membership

Individual membership is available to individuals and companies who are not AIP’s, reinsurers, or brokers who have an interest in crop insurance.

  • Effective representation to executive and legislative branches of the federal government, trade organizations, and targeted media.
  • Interaction with a growing coalition of more than 100 agriculture groups to engage and support crop insurance through CIRB’s leadership of the Crop Insurance Coalition.
  • Weekly e-newsletter on industry news and the latest updates from Washington, D.C.
  • Quarterly Federal Affairs report providing a status update on recent actions on Capitol Hill.
  • Frequent social media toolkits that share positive messaging for the industry to customize.
