CIRB Applauds 2026 House Ag Committee Farm Bill

WASHINGTON, DC (March 5, 2026) — The Crop Insurance and Reinsurance Bureau (CIRB) released the following statement in response to the House Agriculture Committee’s bipartisan passage of the Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2026:

“The Crop Insurance and Reinsurance Bureau (CIRB) greatly appreciates the hard work that has gone into this farm bill process and ultimately led to bipartisan support for the bill. The crop insurance provisions within the bill, make key policy and regulatory improvements that will both enhance the experience for farmers and strengthen the critical public-private partnership that makes crop insurance the most efficient component of the farm safety net.

Moving forward, we urge swift passage of the bill through the full House and Senate, including the preservation of all provisions that allow the Federal Crop Insurance Program to serve more farmers in more regions of the country in an efficient and sustainable manner. We stand ready to work with both sides of the aisle to protect and further improve the program through the farm bill process.”
