Meet the 2016-2017 Class of Emerging Leaders:

Jody Bauer- AFBISJody Bauer Head Shot(small)
Jody Bauer is the Information Systems Director with American Farm Bureau Insurance Services, Inc. located in the Fargo, ND office. In this role, he manages the programming, support, systems and document management departments. Jody has more than 17 years of crop insurance experience in Information Systems. He currently resides in Grandin, ND with his wife and their two children.

 

 

BenesRyanRyan Benes- FMH
Ryan Benes was born and raised in Iowa, a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with a Master’s Degree in International Business from ESC Rennes in France. He joined Farmers Mutual Hail in 2012 as an adjuster in Illinois and was promoted to District Sales Manager for Southern Minnesota in August 2013. He currently lives in North Mankato, MN with his wife. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing and watching the Iowa Hawkeyes.

 

 

 

Maxwell Channon- Guy Carpenter
Max Channon is a Reinsurance Broker on Guy Carpenter’s Agriculture Team. In his role, Max assists the senior brokers throughout the process of structuring, placing, and renewing reinsurance treaties for many of the major crop insurance companies in the US. A graduate from Augustana College in Illinois, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy & Finance while competing as an NCAA golfer. Max now resides in Minneapolis and in his free time he likes to play guitar, spend time outdoors and compete in amateur golf tournaments.

Chock began his crop insurance career with Farmers Mutual Hail Insurance Company of Iowa in 2010. He worked as an adjuster, claims supervisor and sales manager in different territories throughout Nebraska, Colorado, Wyoming, Kansas and Oklahoma. His interest in the industry started at a young age, as his father and grandfather both had careers in crop insurance. Chock lives in Lindsborg, KS with his wife, and their son.

Brian McIntyre has worked in the Crop Insurance Industry for the past 15 years. In that time, Brian began as a Field Claims Adjuster. Then moved to a Claims Administrative to provide claims policy and procedural support to the field adjusting staff, as well as adjuster software support. In January 2011, Brian relocated to North Dakota to serve as the Regional Claims Manager for the state of North Dakota. In 2014, Brian became a Marketing Rep for North Dakota and NW Minnesota. He was raised in a farming and ranching family in Southern Oklahoma that grew wheat, as well as rotational crops such as grain sorghum, canola, corn, and cotton. Brian is a graduate of Cameron University in Lawton, OK with a degree in Agronomy. He now lives in West Fargo, ND with his wife and four kids.

 

Nicholle RenshawNicholle Renshaw-RCIS
Nicholle Renshaw serves as the Regional Business Development Sales Representative for RCIS. During her 10 years at RCIS, she has served in multiple different roles ranging from claims to sales. During this time gaining a real passion for crop insurance and its importance for America’s farmers and ranchers. A graduate of Oklahoma State University with a major in Agribusiness. Nicholle now resides in Omaha, Nebraska with her husband and two boys, ages 6 and 4.

 

 

 

Rinkenberger_LindseyLindsey Rinkenberger- COUNTRY Financial
Lindsey Rinkenberger is the Manager of Commercial Agribusiness Research and Development at COUNTRY Financial. Prior to her current position, she spent 12 years in the Crop Insurance Industry as an Underwriter and Manager of Underwriting. She became an advocate for agriculture while growing up on the family farm in eastern Illinois. Lindsey serves as a member of the following organizations: Illinois Farm Bureau Youth Education Committee, McLean County Ag Education Committee, and the Ridgeview Board of Education. She is a 2014 graduate of the Illinois Agricultural Leadership Program. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication and Journalism from Illinois State University. Lindsey and her husband, have two daughters and live on a farm in eastern McLean County

Curtis SwainCurtis Swain-FMH
Curtis Swain is the Corporate Counsel for Farmers Mutual Hail Insurance Company of Iowa. Curtis graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and received his Juris Doctor degree from Drake University School of Law. Prior to joining Farmers Mutual Hail, Curtis served as Assistant General Counsel for the Iowa Department of Revenue’s Property Assessment Appeal Board. As Corporate Counsel for Farmers Mutual Hail, Curtis is responsible for managing the legal and regulatory affairs of the Company and its affiliates as well as advising the Board and management on various matters including compliance and corporate governance. Curtis and his wife live in Van Meter, Iowa with their son and daughter.

Travis Trueblood grew up in the small rural community of Memphis, Missouri. Through high school Travis worked for a local farmer and held a job at a local insurance office. After high school he attended Western Governors University where he obtained a bachelor degree in business management. While he was attending college he worked full time as a night manager at the local grocery store where he met his wife. They currently still live in Memphis, Missouri with their two kids. In 2012 Travis started working for ADM Crop Risk Services as a crop adjuster and now holds the position of the Iowa Claims Supervisor.

Brian Wiggins is a 17 year veteran of the grain industry. The first 15 years of his career included various plant and regional commercial management roles within ADM Grain’s elevator system focusing his time in the eastern Midwest. In summer of 2014 he was given the opportunity to transition to a new role, Integration Manager. Brian now focuses on supporting the efforts of ADM Crop Risk Services, ADM Grain, and the rest of the company in identifying ways to serve the producer and our partners in the industry. He specializes in price risk management and the correlation of crop insurance as an important tool in the marketing of cash grain. He resides in central Indiana with his family.
